About Gayle Martin

Gayle Homes Martin became an author in 2005 when she self published her first book, Anna's Kitchen: a Compilation of Historic WWII Recipes You Can Create in Your Kitchen Today

"I was such a smart-alec at the time," laughs Gayle. "I thought it would be easy, but it turned out to be a real learning experience, and I wanted to learn more."

Gayle signed on with Five Star Publications, Inc., (now Story Monsters, Inc.), the original publisher of her Luke and Jenny series of historical novels for young readers, in 2006. Her first book, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone, was a finalist at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival. Her second book, Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, was a finalist in the 2007 Indie Book Awards of Excellence. Completing the trilogy was, Riding with the James Gang: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, published in 2010.

In 2011 Gayle switched genres and began writing romance novels under the name Marina Martindale. She also founded Good Oak Press, LLC., that same year. In 2016, Good Oak Press published updated editions of the Luke and Jenny series, along with an updated version of Anna's Kitchen, titled Rosie's Riveting Recipes.

When Gayle isn't writing she's producing book trailers and pursuing her other passion, photography. She also enjoys music and traveling.
